friends i have a windows 2008 R2 cluster running and this is a very critical production system and workload is HyperV with loads of critical virtual servers.
the current processor is intel 2.7Ghz XEON and i have a new server which is Xeom 2.0 .. so first question.. both being intel ..i belive i can add this to cluster ... it should be same family but can be different frequency .. please confirm, if yes.. then question is .. in case of fail over. if the VM is not selected to migrate on a different version processor from hyperV settings so how this will move...
secondly i am not sure on the process of adding ..as for the new node.. i will install OS.. now if i show the storage to the new OS .. i am not very sure if this can corrupt my CSV as my current servers are working on it ... this is iSCSI..so i have to add the storage as targets ... can you guys pleas confirm how this will work.
so once .. above is sorted out then i believe this is straight to do the check and add... please confirm... i checked through links but not getting concrete information on showing storage to new server.
Thanks, Happiness Always
